The Matriarch Society hosted an appreciation day for the “Single Moms,” at the Lydia’s House on May 9, 2015, for “Mother’s Day.” On this day with the help of donations from Family of Faith Christian Center, our Matriarchs invested the day celebrating and saluting these moms that thought they had been forgotten. We entered on common ground as mothers as we laughed, cried and empowered each other as women and single-mothers. This day was an unforgettable day and truly meaningful for everyone involved. We learned the power of unity and coming together for a cause bigger than ourselves. The Matriarch Society embraces the opportunity to give to mothers that are in need of help and support.
